Brief introduction:
Zhoushan Xinhe Ship Tank Cleaning Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Megellan Enviro-Protection Technology Co., Ltd., was established in November 2005. A professional and experienced tank cleaning company specializing in VLCC cargo hold sludge and sewage cleaning, Xinhe is registered and approved by relevant authorities, including the Maritime Safety Administration Bureau. Over the past two decades, due to continuous and steady development, Xinhe Ship Tank Cleaning Co., Ltd. has been appointed a permanent advisor to the China Port Association and an Executive Member of the Zhoushan Port Association. Xinhe is making significant efforts to contribute to the protection of the marine environment and the decarbonization of the shipping industry.
Besides collecting and cleaning sewage and oil sludge from oceangoing ships, Xinhe also trades and supplies ship equipment and spare parts. Xinhe helps shipowners complete dry docking and repairs near the Zhoushan shipyards. Xinhe is known for reliability and has earned the complete trust of the local customs office. Xinhe is also a member of the China Customs Declaration Association.
Zhoushan's location on China's central coastline provides a geographic advantage. The Yangtze River Economic Belt supports its unique natural deep-water seaport. Together with nearby Ningbo Port, it can handle fully loaded VLCCs and Valemax vessels. As such, Zhoushan was designated as China's crude oil storage centre and iron ore transfer hub.
The Ningbo and Zhoushan port combination, with an average annual throughput of over 1 billion metric tons for the last decade, has accordingly been the world's top port for the previous ten years. Simultaneously, the shipping industry has been well-developed in the Zhoushan area. Large dry docks are available here. According to statistics, in 2024, nearly 200 VLCCs owned by various major tanker companies worldwide completed dry docking in the shipyards of Zhoushan. Xinhe, as a leading professional oceangoing ship's oil sludge cleaning company, sends their qualified labour, including engineers, safety supervisors and self-navigation barge, nominated by VLCC owners directly or act as a shipyard sub-contractor, to complete most parts of the above-mentioned near 200 VLCC's oil sludge cleaning/collection tasks successful without any deficiency, till now, Xinhe still maintained incident-ree record after created in 2005.

To minimize environmental disturbance and eliminate potential pollution risk to the coastline and port(s), when not operational, Xinhe's fleet will be berthed alongside a floating wharf and keep a distance from the coastline; when operational, it is berthed to the shore terminal to send oil sludge/sewage to shore or emergency. A floating wharf allows ships of up to 1000 mt DWT to berth alongside.
